We are looking for a passionate and creative Social Media Manager Intern to help amplify our message and engage with our community online.
Position Summary
The Social Media Manager Intern will play a crucial role in expanding our digital presence and fostering engagement across various platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content creation, and digital strategy for a mission-driven organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, curate, and schedule engaging content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Assist in creating visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content.
- Write compelling captions and posts aligned with the organization’s mission and voice.
- Monitor, engage, and respond to community interactions, including comments and messages.
- Track and analyze social media metrics to measure performance and adjust strategies as needed.
- Research trends, hashtags, and best practices to enhance reach and engagement.
- Support campaign development for fundraising, events, and awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with other team members to align social media efforts with organizational goals.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging digital marketing tools.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices.
- Proficiency in Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design tools is a plus.
- Experience with video editing tools (CapCut, iMovie, Adobe Premiere) is a bonus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Passion for nonprofit work and social impact.
